Interesting piece by MG Siegler over at TechCrunch about the Magic Trackpad and its potential impact. I largely agree, as we are seeing the start of a significant interface change within the computing space.
That said I think the mouse will live on as a niche device - solely for gamers and specialty apps. It’ll be relegated to that status by continual improvements in trackpads and, eventually, a new physical interface which builds on trackpads. I give it 10 years.
