Apple kicks Google out of iPhone advertising — travel advertisers will have to make new friends

I had to comment on this piece, which felt very FUDdy to my eyes.

Bottom line: if you want to serve advertisements in your app, and you don’t want to work with Apple, you need to write an HTML5 app. I truly and honestly don’t see this as a negative nor do I see this as a “OMG APPLE HATES GOOGLE!” move in any way.

The iOS platform really supports two (count ‘em!) software development platforms: native and HTML5. HTML5 apps aren’t nearly as plentiful as iOS apps yet; that I’ll concede. But any article which overlooks this fact, be it an opinion piece or a newspaper article, smacks of ignorance.
